Terms of Service

You own everything you write in Journol. Your entries are end-to-end encrypted and we cannot access them. We claim no rights to your content beyond what is technically needed to store and sync it for you in encrypted form.

Because everything is encrypted with keys only you control, you are responsible for your password, passcode and any recovery key. If you lose them, we may be unable to recover your entries — that is the trade-off of true privacy.

Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access by a particular date. Early-access features may change, be incomplete, or be removed while we improve Journol.

• Don't use Journol for anything illegal.
• Don't try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Don't create accounts in bulk or abuse the waitlist.

Journol is a journaling tool, not a medical or mental-health service. Reflections are not advice. If you are in crisis or need support, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

Some features may require a paid plan. Prices and terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and you can cancel at any time.

Journol is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it reliable and secure, but we can't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We recommend exporting your journal regularly.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Journol is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data resulting from lost keys or credentials. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

You can stop using Journol and delete your account at any time. We may suspend access for serious or repeated violations of these terms.

We may update these terms; if changes are significant we will notify you in advance. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them. Questions? Write to hello@journol.life.
